NOTATION- JOINT STATEMENT
New England Commission of Higher Education and New York College of Health Professions
At its meeting on April 23, 2026, the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) issued a public Notation indicating that New York College of Health Professions is in danger of not meeting the Commission's standard on Institutional Resources (Standard 7). This action replaces a previous Notice of Concern.
New York College of Health Professions remains accredited by NECHE. A Notation is not probation or withdrawal of accreditation. It is a public notice that conditions with respect to the Commission's Standards for Accreditation are such that the institution's accreditation may be in jeopardy if current conditions continue or worsen. The institution will be closely monitored by the Commission.
The Commission has asked the College to submit progress reports by October 15, 2026 and October 15, 2027, and has confirmed a comprehensive evaluation for Spring 2028. The College is committed to addressing the Commission's concerns and is actively working toward reinstatement of Title IV eligibility with the U.S. Department of Education.
Inquiries regarding this action should be directed to the administrative staff of the College or to the Commission at info@neche.org. Additional information about NECHE's Policy on Notation is available at neche.org.
